Coco opens with mandarine :)

Theorema (and Anne Pliska, as you know) both open with big juicy oranges, though Theorema's is closer to spiced orange/tangerine. You're going to love it, I think.

They are all great winter scents. I think citrus needn't be paired with green, it can be an introduction and leavening agent to spice and amber.

I would never guess in a million years the Amoreuse has citrus in it: it is a nuclear white floral on me.

I just ordered a set of samples from Beautyhabit based on the note of spiced orange, so I loved seeing this post. And that poem -- ! -- a great deal in a small package, like my favorite little Dancy tangerines...

Hi SweetLife! You are exactly right about Anne Pliska - it has a great orange spice note. On me, it's all warmth though I know some consider it cool and even austere. Some of my very favorites have a subtle mandarin note in their opening and even right through the middle: Guerlain Cuir Beluga and Jicky come to mind (although I get more lemon in Jicky than orange). There's also Serge Lutens Rousse and Arabie...such a wonderful time of year for these citrus/spicy aromas.

I am about to retire for the evening and I will be taking Theorema with me. Thank you for this perfectly timed opportunity to try it!
